Dr Grace Chew is a Breast Endocrine and General Surgeon, who trained at Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is pleased to announce two new private practice locations, at Northpark Private Hospital, Bundoora, and Cotham Private Hospital, Kew.

Dr Chew is a specialist surgeon with expertise in breast, thyroid and skin cancer treatment. She performs breast oncoplastic surgery, offering immediate breast reconstruction at the time of cancer resection. She provides a service for skin cancer and skin lesion excisions on the same day as the consultation. Together with female staff, she is experienced in treating women who develop hemorrhoids, anal fissures or umbilical hernias after childbirth.

Dr Chew is proficient in the latest surgical techniques, including sentinel node biopsy, thyroid surgery with parathyroid reimplantation, laparoscopic inguinal and abdominal hernia repairs, laparoscopic gall bladder surgery and endoscopy.

Dr Chew has multiple awards, including a National Health & Medical Research Council Scholarship, and has published at an international level regarding increased breast density as a major risk factor for breast cancer.

Her academic appointments include being a Lecturer at Austin Health and St Vincent???s Hospital, University of Melbourne. Her public hospital commitments include Austin and Northern Health. She is a Breast surgeon at St Vincent???s BreastScreen, Melbourne.
