Mr Raghavan Unni is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Northpark Private Hospital in Bundoora. Mr Unni arrived in Australia in 1996 and did a Fellowship for two years at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in trauma and Arthroplasty. Since then he worked at Modbury Hospital in Adelaide with three foot and ankle surgeons including Mr Greg Bain, an internationally renowned upper limb surgeon.
In 2000 he relocated to Melbourne and worked at different hospitals in both rural and metropolitan regions, gaining a wealth of experience in all areas of Orthopaedics. Apart from general Orthopaedics, he has a particular interest in trauma, both adult and paediatric, hip and knee arthroplasty, knee arthroscopic procedure and foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Unni is a tutor at Melbourne University through Austin Health and has a keen interest in teaching and is happy to educate general practitioner colleagues, either through correspondence or interactive sessions to provide better patient care. Mr Unni can speak three Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, which is likely to be of benefit to patients from South India who are not fluent in English.
