Dr Hameed also covers Maternity and Newborn Services which include the Level 2 Special Care Baby Unit and Mother and Baby Unit at Northpark Private Hospital, as well as working in the public system in the Allergy and Immunology Department at the Royal Children's Hospital.
Dr Hameed sees children of all ages, from newborn up to eighteen years. Her special interests include allergies in children, behavioural difficulties and development issues. She offers a comprehensive allergy consultation including skin prick testing. Complex cases and oral food challenges are managed in conjunction with the Royal Children's Hospital's allergy and immunology department.
Dr Hameed works closely with allied health professionals including speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and dieticians to provide a multidisciplinary service for children with behavioural issues. She offers a comprehensive Autism Diagnostic Assessment, including the use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). She offers positive parenting guidelines to parents of babies with feeding and sleep difficulties and older children with behavioural issues.
